Evan Mazunik, a composer/keyboardist raised in Iowa and currently based in Queens, NY, plays music that blends the ... more complexities of urban life with the openness of midwestern fields. He has worked with Welcome Wagon, Danielson, and Sufjan Stevens, and has performed at Roulette and the Stone. Mazunik directs his band ZAHA using Soundpainting, a sign language for live composition. less
